Privacy Policy
Radio Z has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your favorites, history and settings stay on your device. The app uses the internet only to load the station directory and to play the stations you choose.
Who we are
Radio Z is an Android app published by Eaze Labs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it. If you have questions, write to pizzazzmusic786@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
Radio Z saves the following in the app’s local storage on your phone or tablet:
- Your favorite stations
- Your listening history, with timestamps
- Your equalizer settings and other preferences
This information is never sent to us. We don’t run servers that receive it. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling Radio Z removes it.
Location
If you allow it, Radio Z uses your device’s location when the app opens, so the globe can fly to stations near you. If you decline, or location isn’t available, the app opens on a random world city and works the same way.
Your location is used inside the app to pick nearby stations. We don’t collect it, store it or share it, and the app doesn’t track your movements.
Services you connect to
Radio Browser. To list stations, the app requests data from Radio Browser, a community-run station directory. Like any internet request, this shows your IP address and basic request details, such as the filters you picked, to their servers. Radio Browser’s own terms and privacy information apply.
Radio stations. When you play a station, your device connects directly to the broadcaster’s server. The broadcaster can see your IP address, basic device and app details, and how long you listen. Stations are run by independent broadcasters, so we can’t control what they collect. Some stations play their own ads or use their own analytics.
Permissions the app asks for
- Internet: to load stations and stream audio.
- Location (optional): to find stations near you.
- Notifications: to show playback controls (play, pause, skip) in the notification shade and on the lock screen.
- Foreground service and wake lock: to keep audio playing when the screen is off.
Radio Z doesn’t use your microphone, camera, contacts, photos or files. You can change or withdraw any permission at any time in your Android settings.
Ads, analytics and tracking
Radio Z contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. It doesn’t use advertising IDs. We don’t sell or share personal information.
Security
The app connects to the station directory over HTTPS and pins certificates for that connection. Audio streams come from broadcasters, and some of them use plain HTTP, which isn’t encrypted. Radio Z allows those streams so that more stations can play.
Children
Radio Z isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Stations are run by third parties and we don’t review their content, so some stations may play material that isn’t suitable for children.
Your choices and rights
You can use Radio Z without sharing your location, and you can delete everything the app stores by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. Because we don’t collect or keep personal information, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. If you live somewhere with privacy rights, such as the EU, the UK or California, and want to exercise them, contact pizzazzmusic786@gmail.com and we’ll respond.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with an updated effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also mention it in the app’s release notes.
