• 100% Offline Functionality: Ukulele operates entirely offline on your device.

• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

• No User Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or targeted advertising networks.

• No Account Required: You can use all features of the app without creating an account or providing personal details.

2. Device Permissions and Usage

Ukulele requests the following device permissions solely to provide core musical instrument functionality:

A. Microphone Permission (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)

Purpose: Used strictly for the real-time Mic Pitch Tuner feature to measure the fundamental frequency (Hz) of your physical ukulele strings.

Data Processing: Audio captured by the microphone is processed in real-time entirely in local device memory and discarded immediately after pitch calculations.

•

Data Privacy: Audio from the tuner is never recorded, stored on disk, or transmitted off your device.

B. Storage / Local File Usage

Purpose: Used to allow you to save your custom chord songs, piano roll arrangements, and recorded audio takes (.wav format) locally on your device.

•

Data Privacy: All saved takes and songs remain 100% stored on your local device storage. They are never uploaded or synced to external servers unless you explicitly choose to share them using the system share menu.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our application is designed for users of all ages, including children. Since Ukulele does not collect any personal data, track user location, display ads, or require user registration, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

Ukulele does not integrate with third-party service providers, analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics), or ad networks. Your app usage and performance data remain private on your device.

Because all data processing (audio pitch analysis, song storage, audio recording) occurs locally on your Android device, your data is protected by Android’s native sandboxing and security model.
